I am well past the dating age range, but I can remember years ago when I first got out of the Army. The Army had made me very open minded concerning race. For those who have never been in the Army, even in the late 60's and the 70's the Army was one of the most open race relations organizations in the world. After a while, one (At least I did) would get to the point where he just didn't notice or care about a persons race. In Vietnam we really cared for each other. When I came home I went to work and met a Black Lady that to this day still owns a piece of my heart and mind. I ask her out several times but she always refused. Since She seemed to like and care about me I finally pushed to try to find out why she would not go out with me. She told me that Her Family was completely against things like that and she could not do anything which would hurt her parents. I understood and pretty much gave up. I did ask her if I could speak to her Dad about it, but she said she would rather I didn't. I finally was able to discuss it with her father and he was very nice but made it clear that He was totally against it. I also found out from him that she had discussed it with him many times seeking his approval. He just felt that everything was better off with whites loving whites and blacks loving blacks. It really broke my heart and I never married. After a number of years I lost touch with her and I don't know if she ever married of not. I still think of her every day.

The key word in the referenced question is prefer. Just because you prefer to be with someone of your own race does not make you a racist, nor does it imply that you solely date within your race. Coming from a scientists perspective you are lacking definitive evidence to draw that conclusion or support your claim.

I definitely agree with you. In synopsis a beautiful woman of any race or backround can get any handsome man of any race or backround as well. I am tall and people find me very attractive and tell me all the time you should model. So I do now. I don't go out of my way to get men to notice me. I dress sexy, work-out, eat healthy, do yoga, and read books. Women need to focus on themselves before bringing a man into it. Some of your information is true in the beginning with the white men for guilty pleasure and the black woman marrying him for status in the whtie society. Take for an example, I know of a black Jamaican women who felt confotable in dating and marrying a white man after 7 months but found that her being married to him was for her own selfish intentions and now benefiting from a hosue that she would not been able to buy on her own without the help of the white mans finances. She is now living in the house that he intially bought from a whirlwind 7 month dating and 6 years of marraige where 2 of it was separation and the other 4 years of making the white husbands life a living hell. I have mixed feelings about the comments ,that are here on this page. First; I must say all the honestly about the feelings expressed is great! Only when honesty is openly express can there be understanding.,but may I ask a question ?
